Isolation ip addres HA cluster

Dear all,

I have just configured a cluster HA with 2 esxi .My question is : it's correct to use as IP isolation address the IP address of the default destination?In My case one interface of the firewall.Or it's better configure another IP?Moreover how often the hosts launch the  ping commands?
