VMware Workstation 12 Pro on Windows 10 Pro Bridged network issues.

I've been running the latest VMware Workstation Player in Windows 10 for about a week when I decided to upgrade to Pro.  I purchased my license and installed Workstation Pro over the top of my player install (was this a mistake?).  I was able to easily find all my VMs from player and started to boot them.  I noticed right away that none of the VMs had network.

I thought maybe the upgrade install failed so I uninstalled Pro and proceeded to follow VMware's clean uninstall guide.  That went along fairly well until they had me try to uninstall "VMware Bridge Protocol".  There I get my first error "Could not uninstall the VMware Bridge Protocol feature.  The error is 0x8007007E"  I searched that error to no avail.

After completing the uninstall, except for the Protocol thing, I rebooted and proceeded to reinstall Pro.  Everything seemed to go fine until the installer displayed "Installing Virtual Network Drivers" and that's where it hung.  Eventually the install completed, taking about 30 minutes to sit there and chug at the hard drive light.  I then ventured into Virtual Network Editor and tried to add a bridged adapter.  That's where I got the error "Cannot change network to bridged:  There are no un-bridged host network adapters."  From there I tried the gambit of solutions in these forums and elsewhere.  I used the "Restore Default" button in Virtual Network Editor.  I tried a repair install.  During both, the same hang occurred at "Installing Virtual Network Drivers".  I tried installing and uninstalling as a local administrator instead of a domain admin, no luck.

Before trying VMware Workstation Player I had installed Hyper-V.  Prior to that was a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro.  The Hyper-V featuer was removed as soon as I realized VMware was the direction I want to go.  Could that be an issue?  Although it didn't effect Players bridged networks, maybe Hyper-V didn't uninstall something properly?  I also have the vSphere Client 5.1 installed including VMRC.  Aside from Chrome, Nvidia video driver, logitech mouse/keyboard driver there is nothing else installed.

Aside from a full Windows 10 reinstall - the reason I chose a virtual desktop environment in the first place - or using a competitors product, I'm stuck.  If anyone here knows why I can get rid of the VMware Bridged Protocol from my network adapters or why the virtual network adapters won't install I would greatly appreciate hearing your solutions.

Edit:  Not to mention it burns me up that I just purchased this software.  Haven't even been able to use it.  But they still want $50 to help me with installation problems.  So now my $250 product becomes a $300 product within 3 days of purchase.  That is just poor service right there.  Even Microsoft offers 90 days of installation support.

Thanks.

-Craig
