To upgrade existing customers to new versions of esxi, it would be handy to prepare USB bootables from our office, and afterwards go switch them at the costomers site, Simply re-add the existing VM's (mostly just a few) and have minimal downtime this way. Is it plausible to prepare a esxi stick on a HP Gen 6 server, that wil work on a HP Gen 8 server,or is some servermodel specific installation being done on a stick. Is the Hypervisor on the stick generic enough to fit both HP models, when using the HP specific installer?
Thanks for any replies!
