We have a few servers running on ESXi5, one of them which runs our SQL database and domain control etc has been a bit sluggish for the last few months. While building a new backup box for running Veeam B&R, I discovered there was a temporary Veeam snapshot that refused to get deleted by subsequent runs of Veeam backup.
I made sure no jobs were running and issued the delete request in VSphere Client.
It is taking a very long time to delete - 14% done in 90+ minutes, could this (hopefully) be the reason for the slowing down of the VM???
