It is recommended to capture a base layer from a reference machine with only a single volume (c:) just as you did.
When the base layer is applied it only performs changes to the disk in the base layer (c:), nothing happens on the other disks, they are assumed to be data disks.
Only if you are sure that all clients the BL will be applied to will have another disks, or the Windows installation in the organization is on disk d: (I know of an organization like that ), then capture a reference machine with disks other than C:
Otherwise the BL application will fail.
