for example if i have 100 Esxi hosts. and each host has 4 CPUs. and Each CPU has 4 cores. So with Hyper threading enabled.

I am having 100*4*4*2= 3200 vCPUs. Is it correct

For example if i get a request to create a VM with 4 vCPUs

Can i select Number of CPUs=2 and Number of cores per socket=2

if i get a request to create a VM with 4 CPU Cores

Shud i select Number of CPUs=1 and Number of cores per socket=4

or

Shud i select Number of CPUs=4 and Number of cores per socket=1

Is this right way
