that's not unusual for Windows, since Windows does some memory initialization in the background. The consumed host memory represents all the physical memory pages which have been requested/touched by the guest OS since it was powered on. That's actually one of the reasons for installing VMware Tools in the guest OS. This way, the Hypervisor (ESXi) is able to reclaim unused guest memory if required.
