Workstation 12.01, Windows 8 64-bit host, latest client tools installed in Ubuntu.
All works normally until breakpoint in Eclipse using gdb.
Mouse tracks but no longer sent to applications (not just Eclipse)
Only some keyboard keys work (space/backspace sent to Eclipse, but Alt-Tab does not switch apps).
Suspending and resuming VM does not repair these input problems.
OS is running OK; powering down VM goes through normal shutdown.
After delay, OS will show screen-saver, but mouse clicks do not cause OS to show running apps as normal.
Looks like VMware client tools have stopped forwarding user input properly!
Debugging with this Eclipse/VM/toolchain worked perfectly until yesterday.
No changes in environment (host or client) since this was working two days ago.
Installed latest client tools in Ubuntu, no change (Workstation is up-to-date)
Any ideas? Others having this problem?
I have one other report of Ubuntu-64 VM becoming dysfunctional on a breakpoint.
