Hi,
I am running Fusion 8.02 of Mac OS X 10.11. My Mac Book Pro Retina has a British keyboard with the @ symbol on Shift + 2 and British Pound £ on Shift + 3. Normally in Mac OS X to get a # I do alt + 3. The guest is running Fedora 23.
Originally the @ and " were switched around and a number of other symbols out of place. I was able to fix this in the VM preferences by adjusting the keyboard profiles and that got the majority all set correctly with the exception of the # symbol which I can't type. In a Windows 8 VM I can normally do it with Right Alt + 3 but this currently gives a ³ symbol.
I have tried adjusting the keyboard layouts inside the guest choosing:-
- English (UK)
- English (UK Macintosh)
- English (UK Macintosh International)
- English (US)
- English (Macintosh)
None give the desired result. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get all the standard symbols mapped correctly as well as be able to type the # symbol.
Thanks.
