Migrating vCenter server 5.5U2 DB & VMware update Manager DB from SQL server 2005 to SQL server 2014 full edition

Hi,

We are in process of migrating the vCenter server 5.5U2 DB  and update manager DB from  SQL server 2005 full edition to SQL server 2014 full edition

Any particular thing that needs to be done I was under impression that it is just backup database on SQL server 2005 and then restore it on SQL  server 2014 server and change ODBC connection in vCenter

Please advise if any other configuration changes needs to be done

For your kind information, the new SQL server 2014 hosting both vCenter server DB and VMware update Manager DB will be residing on the new VM(Windows server 2012R2)
