Change VMKernel port MAC address

Hi all,

This is my first post in the forum.

Currently working on a nested environment inside vcloud air, managed to successfully spin up 2 ESXi hosts + 2 windows servers for a lab environment and is working fine. I've added a secondary NIC to the hosts and created a iSCSI target in one of the windoes servers to test iSCSI connectivity, I've created a new standard vswitch, vmkernel port and associated the vmnic to the vswitch, however I noticed that the vmkernel port MAC address is different to vmnic1 this is an issue since the exterior cannot reach the vmkernel1 port (because of  the nested virtualization Nested ESXi on vCloud Air - VMware vCloud Blog - VMware Blogs). I've scourged the internet trying to find a way to manually change the vmkernel port MAC but no luck so far. The closest i've found is how to change the vmnic mac by editing the esx.conf but it seems that vcloud air somehow rewrites the file everytime the host starts, so MAC stays the same. Can anyone provide any insight to this problem?
